Fix the path, then get the 1501mrc error if you did not extract the dczip inside the dczip as I mentioned before. You will get this error first like I did. Otherwise it won't run and tell you BIOSes are missing etc. It may already be correct but just make sure.

Click at the end where the Add button is and go back through the folder to make sure it is pointed to where you created that roms folder in Demul folder and is where the dczip bioses are located. This is important! Look at the one for BIOS. It will quickly do some config stuff and then show you a page with file paths in boxes on it. I kept forgetting to unzip the dczip inside the main dczip like a dodo and kept having errors when I tried to run Dreamcast.ģ)RUN DEMUL.exe finally. UNZIP THAT ONE TOO! Otherwise you get the 1501.mrc missing error when you try to run Dreamcast. IMPORTANT there is another dc.zip in there with the bioses you just extracted.

Extract the zip of the dc bios files and put them inside of that roms folder.

Just unzip the downloaded Demul program zip each time you need to try it on a different machine or after you do some required system update like Direct X etc.Ģ) Unzip the DC.zip BIOS files twice! Unzip the Demul program zip and create a folder called roms inside of the demul main folder. Sorry.ġ) Running Demul for the first time configures it for that computer! I did this numerous times by copying an extracted Demul folder that I had already ran on my laptop, messing up the config and not letting things work. That is the reason I won't be posting links here. There are some youtube vids out there that have links for these in the descriptions, so just try to find a recent one so the links are good. For this you will need a copy of Demul and the dc.zip bios file. If these things sound obvious, I apologize, but I was in a cloud of youtubes, interwebs, and frustration, so apparently my logic was not working properly lol. FUTURE SELF HERE! I had some nice help from another person here on reddit so I thought I would share my findings of where I went wrong and made dumb mistakes so that some other poor soul with 30 tabs open and missing photobucket images and dead links could at least maybe not get stuck where I did.
